Where the Sound Stewardship Team Gave in 2023
We strive to weave our Sound Stewardship Principles into every financial decision. Our capstone principle, give generously, is our favorite to see in action. The joy that comes from giving – and helping clients give – is beyond description. We love seeing generosity passed down from generation to generation.
The Sound Stewardship Foundation is a Donor Advised Fund which allows our employees to give together from company profits. The company foundation provided matching grants to come alongside team members and support their passions.
In 2023 our team gave over $30,000 together to more than 20 charities. Here are some of the organizations we gifted to this year:
- Convoy of Hope (Springfield, MO) provides disaster relief and humanitarian aid. We also spent a volunteer day building emergency supply kits for them.
- Kingdom Advisors (Atlanta, GA) is a professional association of like-minded financial professionals. They provide mentoring, community, and advocacy for advisors wanting to help clients find peace of mind and purpose in their finances.
- Madam President Camp (Shawnee, KS) inspires all girls to use their voice to become leaders in their communities now and in the future.
- Shiloh Center (Harrisonville, MO) supports women with unplanned pregnancies with options for their pregnancy as well as spiritual support and guidance.
- The Forge (Overland Park, KS) breaks down barriers that prevent men from seeking out counseling. We helped them bring the Legacy Letter Challenge to Kansas City parents.
- Care Beyond the Boulevard (Kansas City, KS) takes free, high-quality medical care to people experiencing homelessness in Kansas City.
- If Not For Grace Ministries (Lee’s Summit, MO) helps those who have been impacted by abortion find healing and restoration.
- The Hope Market (Gardner, KS) seeks to eliminate hunger and food insecurity in western Johnson County through the distribution of nutritious food and personal hygiene items.
- Lenexa Baptist Cares (Lenexa, KS) ministers to members of the community who are hospitalized, facing ongoing health issues, living in nursing or assisted living facilities, or facing bereavement.
- Cass County Rescue Mission (Harrisonville, MO) supports community members in their most pressing times of need.
- Sync with God (Lincoln, NE) provides a tech platform for life-changing online discipleship groups.
- Hillcrest Transitional Housing (Kansas City, MO) provides a transitional housing program for youth who are in-between places to live. We enjoyed spending a day volunteering at their thrift store in Lenexa.
- We also provided direct support to families serving in campus ministry in the US, South America, the Philippines, and the Middle East.
