Principles in Practice: Think Beyond Yourself

One of our generous clients exemplified this principle when she helped a person with a severe need for a dental repair.  It was her local handyman, who was a very hard worker, but rarely smiled due to several missing or damaged teeth.  Through our guidance, she was able to donate some appreciated company stock from a former employer to a special charitable foundation that could pay the dentist directly for his services.  In exchange, the donor received a tax deduction for the gift to this needy individual.  Now, the handyman is smiling from ear to ear and so thankful for her thoughtfulness!
